The SiLEAN project successfully participated in the 42nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC), the largest international Conference for Photovoltaic research, technologies and applications. This renowned event the world-renowned science-to-science and science-to-industry platform uniquely focused on the global PV Solar sector.
SiLEAN partners actively contributed by presenting the project’s latest results, engaging in discussions with research institutes, universities, and industry leaders worldwide, and fostering new opportunities for collaboration. With its scientific programme coordinated by the European Commission Joint Research Centre, EU PVSEC provides the ideal setting to showcase how SiLEAN’s solutions align with the cutting edge of photovoltaic research and innovation.
Our colleagues from FZJ, TUD and IMEC represented the SiLEAN project through their significant contributions during the conference, showcasing the project’s progress and innovations:
- Yi Zheng (TUD) gave a presentation titled DC- and RF-Sputtered MoOx for Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cells
- Karsten Bittkau (FZJ) presentated a poster on Development of Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cells with Low Environmental Footprint and Advanced Interfaces
- Mihir Mahajan & Arvid van der Heide (IMEC) presented a poster on Exploring Carbon-Based Pastes for Silver-Free Metallization of Silicon Heterojunction Solar Cells
- Malte Vogt (TUD) presented a poster on Projected technical innovations could solve silver demand crisis in the terawatt-scale photovoltaics era
Coordinator Karsten Bittkau from Forschungszentrum Jülich presenting the SiLEAN poster
As part of SiLEAN’s mission to develop fully In-, Ag-, and Bi-free silicon heterojunction technology, these contributions highlight our commitment to advancing both efficiency and sustainability in the PV sector.
We thoroughly enjoyed connecting with leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals at this major event!
