We are pleased to share that our project partner NexWafe attended the SPECIAL PV Workshop – Space Photovoltaics for Energy Conversion in Extra-Terrestrial Environments. This event served as a crucial international platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and information on space photovoltaics, with a focus on radiation effects and emerging materials.
The workshop’s discussions were particularly relevant to our project, especially in relation to the use of silicon photovoltaics for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellations. The exploration of ultra-thin silicon cells, which offer significant advantages due to their lower susceptibility to radiation damage, aligns perfectly with our ongoing research and development efforts.
We look forward to integrating the insights gained into our project. Stay tuned for more updates!
