PV Works B.V.
PV Works B.V.
Organisation Introduction
PV Works is a spin-off from Delft University of Technology established at the end of 2020. The core activity of the company and the service it offers is the multi-scale modelling in the field of photovoltaics. The company acknowledges more than 30 years of PV modelling expertise developed in the Photovoltaic Materials and Devices group at Delft University of Technology. The goal of PV Works is to facilitate the large-scale deployment of PV technology in the urban environment by accurately evaluating the PV potential in urban environment and the impact of solar electricity on the local grid.
Why SiLEAN?
PV Works can model with a great level of detail advanced solar cell architectures and translate that knowledge into photovoltaic modules that might not exist yet as well as computing the energy yield of the technology under study. This simulation prowess matches perfectly with the modelling needs at solar cell, module and system levels in SiLEAN project.
Involvement in SiLEAN?
PV Works will deploy and combine several numerical models to compute the energy yield of prospective full-size modules, which do not exist yet, based on fundamental material properties, fabricated cells and mini modules provided by project partners.
“The SiLEAN-project is a fantastic testbed for proving the effectiveness of the multiscale modelling framework available at PV Works.”
